The World Poker Tour Ladies' Night III Tournament in 2005

The women poker players are never left out of the poker competition, thanks to the World Poker Tour Ladies' Night tournament. This event allows these beautiful ladies to keep in touch with the best and brightest poker competition of today. Throughout the past few years, this tournament has been a haven for all the serious female players out there. This event gives them the opportunity to display their skills and strategies in the game of poker for the whole world to see.

The World Poker Tour Ladies' Night III saw 2004 ultimate champion Isabelle Mercier defend her title against some of the rising female poker superstars. This event is as exciting as ever with the pace picking up in the latter stages of the tournament. It was held once again at the very luxurious Bicycle Casino in Bell Gardens, California.

This poker tournament guarantees the ultimate winner a seat at the WPT Championship at the end of the fourth season of the World Poker Tour. This prestigious event will be held at the Bellagio in Las Vegas, Nevada. So a lot is at stake in this tournament, especially for those serious female players who want to earn a spot at the grand championship event.

The final table of the World Poker Tour Ladies' Night III tournament was made up of defending champion Mercier, Aidiliy Elviro, Jennifer Tilly, London Gallagher, Cecilia Reyes and Marsha Waggoner. Only Mercier was the only one present from the 2004 tournament, but her championship experience seems not enough for her to rack up another impressive victory. She was out of the table as early as the fifth round.

Before Mercier was eliminated from the final table, London Gallagher was the first casualty in the game. These beautiful ladies displayed their aggressive style of play as well as their unique strategies in the hope of defeating one another. After Gallagher was removed from the table, it was the turn of Reyes to experience some problems. After failing to recover, she was eliminated from the table as well.

With three of the final contenders out, the remaining three played nervously as their cards were being dealt to them. Because of her inferior poker hands, Waggoner was forced out of the competition. This situation left Tilly and Elviro competing with each other at the final round. The World Poker Tour Ladies' Night III took a serious twist as Tilly used her excellent bluffing skills to cap off a major win. This victory shocked the poker world as Tilly proved to the world that an award-winning actress like her can dominate such big poker tournament.
